Truths I’ve discovered while stumbling through Keto:
- I have no craving for a PSL from Starbucks!! Haven’t had one all season! I’m in shock, like serious shock. I don’t even want one. But it’s so weird to think I may miss the opportunity to get one.
- Fat seriously fills you up!! I am rarely hungry.
- I can now drink coffee with just HWC, no sugar! The only way I’d drink coffee b4 is if it had enough fu-fu to mask the coffee flavor
- I don’t exercise- teaching 800 kiddos every week and standing for a solid 8hrs a day (with only a 1hr break) is about all I can handle. I take my puppy for an hour walk 1-2x a week. So yeah, I don’t really exercise.
- I don’t have gas!! No fluffs, no burps! It’s crazy!
- Constipation is a real thing! Eat veggies! Salad gets things moving for me.
- NSV- Non scale victories are just as important as weight loss. Better fitting clothes, thinner face, and feeling healthier are victories that should be celebrated.
Regrets:
- I wish I had taken measurements of my thighs, stomach and boobs at the beginning.
- Documenting BMs will definitely help with constipation and the excruciating pain it can cause.
- Not owning a scale. However, that might be a blessing in disguise. If I monitored every single day, I might be more anxious about my weight loss. As it is, I want to feel better, and losing weight is a bonus, not the goal (right now).
