My Go To Foods

Hubby and I are meat-eaters which is perfect for Keto.  We love steaks, burgers, bacon, fish and chicken.  This makes it incredibly easy to fix meals for us.  We don’t have kiddos so it’s just the 2 of us.  We’ll grill burgers, steak, or ribs 3-4x a month.  Hubby will eat his potatoes or rice while I fix me asparagus, squash, broccoli, or other veggies.  Be careful though.  Veggies can have carbs.  I enter all the food on my app first to see how much I can have to stay below the carb limit.  I also like breakfast tacos or French toast for dinner.  While hubby eats the tortillas and bread, I just scramble the eggs add a couple strips of bacon and wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am, I don’t have to make a separate meal.

Here are typical meal options for me:

Breakfast:

  • Boiled eggs- already peeled so I can grab and go
  • Coffee with HWC only
  • Left-over steak or ribs
  • Leftover guacamole, queso or avocado

Lunch:

  • Flavored tuna packet w/mayo
  • Avocado
  • Left over dinner
  • Pepperoni or salami
  • Braunschwieger
  • Cheese
  • Pickles
  • Mini sweet peppers
  • Chicken salad

Dinner:

  • Grilled steak or ribs, with grilled asparagus or yellow squash
  • Cheeseburger minus the bun
  • Chicken fajitas, salsa, sour cream & cheese minus the tortilla
  • Fish
  • Scrambled eggs w/bacon
  • Beef taco salad

Grab and go:

  • Hard salami slices
  • Cheese slices
  • Luncheon meat
  • Avocados
  • Flavored tuna pouches
  • Pork skins
  • Pepperoni
  • Cheese crisps
  • Bacon
  • Braunschwieger
  • Mixed nuts
  • Almond butter
  • Beef jerky
